Fanny Hill is currently in previews and has received lots of good word. The reviewers come soon, so keep your fingers crossed. Nick is very pleased with his contribution to the show as orchestrator, but is also looking forward to the show’s moving on and expanding the orchestration. Time will tell.

Nick was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award for best musical direction for the Ford’s Theatre production of Big River. The awards will be presented on April 17, 2006 in Washington DC. Nick is very excited about the nomination and sends his thanks to Steve Landau and the staff at the Ford’s for giving him the opportunity to work on such a wonderful production.

Nick is now hard at work writing the score to the Nine O’Clock Players Cinderella. He hopes to have a first draft completed by mid-march.

Nick was also contacted by one of the troops of Mummers who perform in the annual Philadelphia, New Year’s tradition to arrange and orchestrate their number for the world famous parade this year. Nick is currently in negotiations and hopes to come to terms soon.
