Fanny Hill opens on Feb 14 with previews beginning on Feb 1 at the York Theatre in New York. Nick saw a read-through recently and reports “the cast is terrific!” Nancy Anderson is playing Fanny, with Tony Yazbeck as Charles, her “one true love”. The rest of the cast: Emily Skinner – Martha, Christianne Tisdale – Phoebe, Gina Farrell – Esther, Adam Monley – Will Plenty, Patti Allison – Mrs. Brown , David Cromwell – Lord Hereford/Mr. Croft and Michael Farina – Mr. Sneed. Stan Tucker is musical director and Jimmy Brennan is directing. Nick is working feverishly on the orchestrations with a deadline of January 28 for the first orchestra read-through. Nick is very high on the project and looks forward to an artistically satisfying and financially successful run. After seeing the run-through, Nick commented, “I’ve done lots of new material and this is one I really believe has a shot.”

Nick is also in the midst of writing Cinderella for the Nine O’Clock players in Hollywood. The book is completed and Nick has written the opening number and sketched some themes which he’s very excited about. The bulk of the work will be done after the orchestrations for Fanny Hill are completed.

Bud Schaetzle is back in the picture as a producing partner for Happily Ever After, After All. Nick and Scott Guy are hoping for big things from Bud’s involvement.
