Fanny Hill Getting Good Reviews

Fanny Hill is up and running and has gotten wonderful reviews; nine positive, one middle of the road and zero negative. Variety liked it very much and the NY Times had some very nice things to say as well. Everyone is pleased with the notices and are enjoying a wonderful run. Emily Skinner was unfortunately forced to withdraw from the production early. Emily, as you may know, created the role of one of the conjoined twins in the original production ofSideshow. We will sorely miss her contribution, however we are very pleased with her replacement. Marla Schaffel, who received a Tony nomination for creating the title role in Jane Eyre, has taken over the role of Martha to wide acclaim. Fanny Hill runs at the York Theatre through March 26.

Nick has completed composing the first draft of Act I for the Nine O’Clock Players Cinderella. He expects to complete the second act sometime before the end of March.

Nick is still in negotiations with the Mummers regarding his orchestrating for the 2007 parade. Negotiations have been very positive and both sides expect an agreement to be forthcoming.

Nick will be attending the Helen Hayes Awards on the 17th of April at the Warner Theatre in Washington DC. Nick hopes to borrow the green leotard that Ben Stiller wore to the Academy Awards to wear for his acceptance speech.

Nick is in early negotiations to music direct a Cole Porter Revue in the middle of April. Details are currently sketchy but will be reported here when they’re known.
