Back from Athens, Dubrovnik, and Rome
Nick has just returned from a cruise to Athens, Dubrovnik and Rome where he conducted for Lorna Luft. They sailed on the Holland America line’s flagship MS Amsterdam and received rave reviews.
The Betty Hutton Medley was a huge hit with the Key West Pops. Nick arranged and orchestrated the 10 minute specialty number for Susie Speidel. It was commissioned by the Key West Pops and premiered on March 4, 2007.
Fanny Hill, Ed Dixon’s musicalization of the 17th century bawdy novel has received a booking in Cleveland for next season. Nick is currently in negotiation with Miracle or 2 Productions regarding the licensing of the orchestrations he wrote for it’s Off-Broadway run. Miracle or 2 will represent the project as licensing agent for all future amateur, stock and waiver productions.
Sherlock Holmes, Nick and Scott Guy’s musical version of the classic Conan Doyle character is being strongly considered by the Group Repertory Theatre in Los Angeles for a spot on its summer season.
Cinderella (Book and Lyrics by Scott Guy, Music by Nick), just finished a two month run at the Nine O’Clock Players in Los Angeles. NOP reports wonderful reviews and full houses for the bulk of the run.
The Cinderella recording was completed in February of 2007 and features Kate Baldwin as Cinderella, Ned Noyes as Prince Charming, Laura Beth Wells and Robin Yakaitis as the Stepsisters and Melissa Loderstedt as the Evil Stepmother.
